The Nigerian military says it has granted administrative bail to
Ahmed Bolori and Aisha Wakil, who made themselves available to the
military authority after being declared wanted.
The bail was granted after they met some conditions, including
submission of their international passport, PR Nigeria which releases
statements from security organisations, reported.
It quoted a top military source as saying that investigation was
still ongoing and that the military was still expecting the return of
the third wanted person, Ahmad Salkida who resides in Dubai, United Arab
Emirate.
The three Nigerians were declared wanted after the recent release of
video by Boko Haram terrorists group purporting to show some of the
kidnapped Chibok schoolgirls.
PREMIUM TIMES reported on Wednesday that the military had released Mrs. Wakil, a lawyer and negotiator for the Boko Haram sect.
Ms. Wakil turned herself in at the Defence Headquarters on Monday
morning, about 24 hours after the Nigerian Army put out a statement
declaring her wanted on allegations of aiding the sect.
Ms. Wakil was transferred to the State Security Service headquarters
on Tuesday, from where she was allowed to go home Wednesday night
without charges, sources said.
Sources said Ms. Wakil was well treated by the Nigerian security operatives while she was in their facility.
